Cheesy Surf & Turf Fajita Bowl (Steak + Shrimp) 🧀🍤
This better-than-takeout dinner is loaded, melty, and seriously hard to put down—tap “❤️” if you’d crush this tonight!
📝 Ingredients :
1 lb steak bites (sirloin/flank), cut into chunks
1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 tbsp oil (avocado/vegetable)
2 tbsp butter
Salt + black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika (or Cajun seasoning)
Cheesy sauce (melted drizzle):
1 cup shredded cheese (Monterey Jack, cheddar, or mix)
1/2 cup milk (or half & half)
2 tbsp cream cheese (optional, makes it extra smooth)
Pinch of paprika/pepper
🍽️ How to Make It :
1️⃣ Season the steak & shrimp
Pat everything dry. Season steak and shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
2️⃣ Sear the steak
Heat oil in a hot skillet and sear steak until browned on the outside. Pull it out so it stays juicy.
3️⃣ Sauté the peppers & onions
Add butter, then cook peppers and onions until softened and slightly charred around the edges.
4️⃣ Cook the shrimp
Toss shrimp into the pan and cook just until pink and curled, then add the steak back in.
5️⃣ Finish with the cheese
Melt cheese with milk (and cream cheese if using) until smooth, then drizzle over the skillet or pop everything under the broiler 1–2 minutes until bubbly and melty.
