- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
🍲 *Sauce and Aromatics*
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
🌱 *Garnish and Serving*
- 3 green onions, chopped
- Cooked rice, for serving
*Instructions:*
1. Coat beef slices evenly with cornstarch; let sit for 10 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Cook beef in a single layer for 2-3 minutes until browned; set aside.
3. In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
4. Return beef to skillet; toss to coat in sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
5. Stir in green onions; cook for 1 minute.
6. Serve immediately over cooked rice.
